- How have you advocated for yourself during your internship, or seen advocacy demonstrated in other situations?
- Are you following the advice in "How to be an intern everyone remembers"? If so, how is it working out? If not, what are you going to start doing?
I don’t know if I would say that I’m always doing something because there seems to be a good amount of free-time but when I am given a task I finish it in a very timely manor.
Tip 2: Don't go to a meeting without a notebook
Whenever in meetings or shadowing, I take notes on what might be important or just what I’m hearing.
Tip 3: Get to know all your colleagues EARLY
Because I have been all over the office and working with a bunch of people, I have gotten the opportunity to get to know a good amount of the workers. Even the ones I don’t know are very friendly and open to helping me, or using my help.
Tip 4: Show up on time (or early) for everything
I have shown up on time everyday, usually coming in a little early. My mentor is very lenient with my come and go time but it’s still polite to come in on time.
Tip 5: Dress more professionally than you think you need to
The dress code here is very relaxed, the workers wear things you would wear just walking around your own home but I continue to dress as I would for school.
