Vision Board
Reflection
I think one thing I learned about myself through this project is that the only thing I’m really certain that I want to do with my future is that I want to travel around the world. That sounds very cliche but I have very specific areas I do plan on traveling to at some point in life. Other than traveling I can’t imagine what my future will look like. I don’t know what career I want to take on, where I want to live, and if I even want to start a family, so I based my entire vision board on something I know for sure I wanted.
To me, I saw myself highlighting my strength in hands on building. Hands on building, sculpting or shaping, is something I think I thrive in. I had previously researched on google how to make a cardboard airplane but there were none that I could really work with so I came up with my own idea. I was able to imagine what pieces were required to build a three dimensional airplane so I sketched and cut out each piece. This project pushed me mostly in assembly. The pieces were pretty big and I had run out of supply to put them together. I ended up scrambling around my house and found pins that allowed me to combine my separate parts.
I feel I put in a great amount of personal effort, I spent a lot of time over one of the weekends solely working on the project, by myself. For the three dimensional part I think I did a really nice job. I was able to turn a flat image into a three dimensional object. Instead of just adding in one 3D element, I decided to make my entire project 3D which I believe added an interesting element. My final product ended up very much like I had imagined in when I drew out my draft.
