How was your work as an intern meaningful to your education?
Internship gave me a very different opportunity to learn what is not taught in school. It is a true real world experience, giving you a glimpse of what your future may look like. Education wise it was really hard to learn anything and have it stick. Throughout this specific internship I have learned a whole new world of insurance and all the little pieces that work together, allowing the company to run smoothly. After participating and shadowing an office building type work I believe I know more about what I may and may not see myself doing as a career, which is extremely beneficially to my education as of now and also for the future.
How did your project go from an idea or inspiration to a final product?
It took a while to finally set a specific project in line. From the beginner there were always different ideas for a project floating around but I hadn’t started on anything until about two weeks in. The company has just recently made their own claim adjusters sector but have yet to do any marketing to get their company out to the public. The idea for my project was to design and create business cards for the fifteen members and also create a flyer, for marketing purposes. As soon as the idea was set in place I got right to work. At first I thought I would finish the project in no time, I definitely underestimated all the things that could go wrong. Once a final design was chosen I filled them all in with the correct info. The cards ended up going through multiple drafts before the finals were sent in. As for the flyer, that also seemed like it would be an easy photoshop assignment but it included many parts. A good amount of research went into being able to complete the flyer along with the photoshop editing portion of it.
Do you think that this is something that you want to do when you grow up? Judging by the first answer, it seems like you're enjoying the work. Would you consider doing this as a career?

That's rad that you got to design cards that they'll use for years to come. Your project, though took a while to start, seems like an important task, and educational in terms of design, technology, basic data, and (Dr. P's fav) critique.
